Bluestone Executive Communications is led by former television reporter and veteran communication strategist Christina McKenna and supported by a team of exceptional communicators who hail from the fields of journalism, public relations, marketing and crisis communication.
CHRISTINA MCKENNA – President
Founder and President of Bluestone Executive Communications, Christina McKenna is the voice whispering in the ear of some of America’s most powerful corporate and community leaders, helping them get the words right when it matters most. Whether they’re facing a media firing line, accepting honors or delivering the speech of a lifetime, McKenna coaches clients to engage audiences with authenticity, empathy and shared human experience. Her client list includes CEOs, company presidents and other senior leaders at General Motors, McCann WorldGroup, Masco, La-Z-Boy, Magna International, Detroit Public Schools, Continental, Valeo, Visteon, Shinola, ZF and dozens of other business, government and nonprofit organizations across North America and beyond.
A career communicator, McKenna previously spent 12 years as a TV reporter in Boston and Seattle where she interviewed thousands of newsmakers, including George W. Bush, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and John Kerry, covering some of the world’s most influential politicians, business leaders and celebrities as they confronted crises in the glare of the public eye. Later, McKenna took her journalism experience to the other side of the microphone, as the spokesperson for Fortune 500 Boston Edison, publicly representing the company through a series of high-profile crises.
McKenna earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at the University of Chicago and a Master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. She also spent two years as a member of the full time faculty at Suffolk University in Boston where she taught journalism, writing and ethics.
McKenna is a frequent public speaker and regularly writes about public speaking and corporate communication in the blog “Let’s Be Clear.”

DAN HEATON – Senior executive Communication Strategist and Media Trainer
As the primary spokesperson for several military organizations and a large college, Dan Heaton has coordinated presidential visits, trained military generals and admirals for media interviews and served on the front lines of communication during numerous crises. In addition he spent more than 20 years as a newspaper and radio reporter, including a combined 11 years in the Detroit and St. Louis markets and a stint as the play-by-play voice of a minor league hockey team.
Dan has won writing awards from a variety of journalism and military organizations, and was twice named the national Air National Guard writer of the year. He is the author of three books on military history. Dan holds degrees or certificates from the Ecumenical Theological Seminary, Liberty University, Spring Arbor University and National Defense University.

ROGER WEBER – Senior executive communication strategist and Media Trainer
In a legendary television career that spanned three decades, Roger Weber was beloved for taking complex, confusing or abstract topics and crystalizing them into stories that were tangible, relatable and even personal for his viewers. His work earned him scores of accolades, including Emmy Awards and a coveted Edward R. Murrow Award. Now Roger shares his talents with Bluestone clients, coaching professionals at all levels to find the personal connection that will make their work meaningful and memorable to audiences. In addition to media training and presentation coaching, Roger offers workshops on special topics like Storytelling for Business and Business Writing Rehab.

JON JORDAN – EXECUTIVE STYLIST AND IMAGE CONSULTANT
Executive Stylist and Image Consultant Jon Jordan has an exceptional talent for translating style in a way that is empowering, relevant and refreshing for professionals at all levels. Jon an authority on all things style: He serves as a consultant for Post-Newsweek Television stations across the country. In addition, his long list of VIP clients includes President Bill Clinton, Cindy Crawford, Maria Shriver and Matt Lauer, along with dozens of C-suite executives at many of the country’s largest corporations. An on-air talent in his own right, Jon regularly appears on television and in other media to share his exceptional talent for translating trends in a way that is relevant, flattering and affordable to all. He has covered couture from the red carpet at The Golden Globe Awards and reported live from London during royal celebrations. Danielle Kovachevich – etiquette instructor
Certified Etiquette Instructor, Danielle Kovachevich specializes in helping professionals navigate the modern business world with the social graces that bring dignity to daily work. Her expertise includes domestic and international business protocol, digital decorum and fine dining etiquette.
Danielle is a core member of the Bluestone Executive Communications Image Institute, where she leads programs such as “Manners for Millennials,” “Email Etiquette,” “Business Protocol for Busy Professionals,” and “Poise and Polish: A Finishing School for Executives.”
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education at Michigan State University and studied in the South of France while earning a Master’s Degree in Curriculum Development. Prior to joining Bluestone Executive Communications, Danielle taught secondary education and wrote curriculum for various school districts. She is an active committee member of the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan. She is certified in Etiquette Instruction by the Etiquette Institute of St. Louis.

BARBARA BOLDT – International Communication Specialist
Barbara Boldt is an international facilitator and educator specializing in global management skills for international business. As an American national, Ms. Boldt lived in Europe for 19 years: 11 in Italy and 8 in Switzerland.
Barbara has taught international communication at universities in Europe and the US and trained hundreds of global managers on communicating across cultural lines. Using an interactive, skills-based, outcome-oriented methodology, she helps managers improve their intercultural communication and interaction skills so they can be more productive and obtain the business results they need.

IRINA JESIONOWSKI – Language Services Professional
Irina Jesionowski is a U.S. State Department certified language professional, specializing in interpreting business negotiations, conferences and courtroom proceedings. A language professional in the US for 13 years, Irina is a native of Volograd, Russia where she completed five years of university study in history, sociology and linguistics.
Irina is also an alumna of the Cambridge (U.K.) Conference Interpreting Course and of translation and interpretation programs at the University of Chicago and at the University of Massachusetts. Since 2008, she has been serving as a Senior Curriculum Designer and Content Developer at Interpreter Education Online.

BETH RIDLEY – Director of Operations
Beth Ridley specializes in designing and helping to execute communications programs so that participants get the maximum benefit from every moment. Beth also manages Bluestone’s team of “special topic” trainers and coaches, including specialists in International Communications, Executive Presence and the Image Institute. Prior to joining Bluestone, Beth organized and supported events within the conference and trade show and insurance industries. In addition to organizing resources for hundreds of conferences, she coordinated the trade labor for the massive North American International Auto Show, one of the world’s largest and most complex trade show events.

Trish Bringer ensures Bluestone clients enjoy an exceptional training experience from beginning to end. From overseeing on-site logistics for major events to managing the tiniest of details, Trish oversees many of Bluestone's largest projects. Trish's previous media experience includes J Walter Thompson and Comcast.
Trish earned both bachelor's and master's degrees in business at Central Michigan University.
